If it weren’t for Calvary where would this world be
Without the nails that pierced His hands
the crown of thorns He wore for me?
The spear that made Him bleed was all that I would need,
Thro’ His sacrifice of love His blood flowed all the way to me.
If it weren’t for Calvary we could not know Him
No forgiveness would flow, no mercy would we know
We could not approach the throne, we would all be on our own
If it weren’t for His great love at Calvary.
What a sacrifice He made what a price that He paid
To know the pow’r of His blood, His unconditional love.
Of all the honors we could have there’s none at all like that
Of kneeling at the cross, my richest gain I count but loss.
Amazing love, how can it be, that Thou my God shouldst die for me!
If it weren’t for His great, if it weren’t for His great love
If it weren’t for His great love at Calvary, Calvary, at Calvary.
