Silent Night, Holy Night

Silent Night, Holy Night

Silent night, holy night, All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child,
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, holy night, shepherds quake at the sight,
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavenly host sing alleluia;
Christ the Savior is born! Christ the Savior is born!

Silent night, holy night, Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face,
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus Lord at thy birth, Jesus Lord at thy birth.

  1. Thanks a lot for this amazing poetry.

I was looking for Christmas poems to read to my younger child. When he heard this poem he was very pleased with it. After this, we tried together to learn poetry by heart.

It is a very beautiful poetry and I will definitely come back to the site to read poems for my child and I will also post the link on my social networks.

This song is one of the best-sung songs on Christmas Season.

This is the best verse I think. I usually sing this song on Christmas Eve. And not infrequently I always burst into tears. Why? Because I feel too sinful to be a human being who is never grateful. Sometimes I forget to be thankful for the breath of life, food, drinks, clothes, shelter, health provided by Him.Also, I remember how good He was, who was willing to die to redeem humanity. Sinful humans who have no shame.

If you personally, how was your experience when singing this song?
What a beautiful and soothing song ..

    • Hi! Kylie.

I can feel you have been in the encounter with the Lord and you feel deeply what the song conveys. I am happy I have fellow Christians around the world appreciating the amazing grace of God.

I usually feel happy with this song but I will even be in tears singing the “Amazing Grace” hymn that thinking of all the good things he freely bestows, you mentioned it.
